snowy engagement photos in big cottonwood canyon

It is January 28th, 2026 and there is still no snow on the ground in the Utah valley! I’ve heard from Utah natives that this is pretty shocking, and that typically they have a lot of snow right now. Last weekend, I decided to head up to Jordan Pines campground for some dreamy engagement photos, and they were everything I hoped; there was plenty of snow on the ground, and although the snow wasn’t falling, I had my clients shake the trees, make snow angels, and throw snow to get that effect. If you want candid photos like this, we need to create candid moments!
